Book of Eli
The Book of Eli, directed by Albert and Allen Hughs, was a movie that followed the character Eli (Densel Washington) on his mission in an post-apocalyptic world. It portrayed the struggles the new world has brought and the evil it brings out in people. My personal opinion of this movie is very high, there are twists and surprises throughout the movie that leaves you in awe. Eli's power struggle with Carnegie (Gary Oldman,) the most powerful man in the town, is attention grabbing. The things we think are important to own change completely, the necessities including water and shampoo are now being killed over having, people become possessions including Carnegie's step daughter Solara (Mila Kunis) who is highly opinionated and defiant. The cinematography of The Book of Eli is incredible. I would rate this movie an 9 out of 10.

50/50
I recently watched the movie 50/50. In my opinion this was great movie. The movie starred Adam (Joseph Gordan-Levitt) and (Seth Rogan) as bestfriends and depicted their struggles through Adam's battle with cancer. What one would imagine as a depressing movie was no such thing. The spurts of comedy were greatly placed. The serious moments were broken up by a good laugh creating a great balance of sadness and laughter. Being based of the journey of the script writer Will Reiser's own battle of cancer it shows the strain it puts on all relationships between both friends and family. Instead of leaving the movie sad and full of worry it was a surprisingly refreshing movie that I wouldn't mind seeing again. I highly recommend this movie. Definitely worth the high price movie ticket.
