Role Models

The movie Role Models stars two friends Danny (Paul Rudd) and Wheeler (Sean William Scott) who, in order to avoid jail time, must serve hours at a big brother program called Sturdy Wings. The two children they are assigned Augie (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) and Ronnie (Bobb'e J. Thompson) are hilarious characters. One a misunderstood nerd and the other a dirty mouthed trouble maker. The movie goes through their hilarious fights and bonding. The humor is sarcastic and full of whit. I am able to watch this movie a countless amount of times and still laugh the entire movie. The sets for the scenes are highly creative. I highly recommend this movie. The director, David Wayne, did an excellent job creating a movie full of laughter and a high level of sarcasm. The cast was chosen very well. It is one of my all time favorites. It is a mood changer, after watching it one will leave in a better mood. I would rate this movie a 9.

The Hunger Games

I recently went to the movie theater to watch the movie The Hunger Games. This movie takes place in war stricken North America made up of 12 poverty filled districts ran by the all controlling Capitol. As continual punishment due to failed rebellion the Capitol requires each district to hold a raffle, known as the reaping, to choose one boy and one girl to be sent to a televised arena where they fight to the death until only one is left standing. This battle is known as the Hunger Games. The movie follows two teenagers from district 12 Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) and Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) ,who volunteers in place of her younger sister, as they are sent on their crazed fight for survival in the Hunger Games. The director Gary Ross captures all the emotions that come with the mentality of true survival and doing what need be done in the heat of battle. My personal opinion of The Hunger Games was that despite the length of the movie it had an interesting plot line with many unexpected events. I appreciated the cinematography when it came to the action scenes they were both dramatic and unpredictable. I rate this movie a 7 out of 10.

Exit Through The Gift Shop

Exit Throught the Gift Shop, directed by Bansky, is a documentary that followed Thierry Guetta an extravagant french man who is obsessed with filming every moment of the day. While filming Thierry happens apon street art. He then begins to follow these artists filiming them tag and helping them paste their enourmous pictures on walls or bilboards all over the world. After years of beign followed by Thierry the artist Banksy found it necessary to make a film about this entreouenuer using the footage Mr. Guetta shot. The documentary took one through the process of street art and gave one an appreciattion for this short lived form of art. I found this film, especially for being a documentary, highly entertaining. If one has an appreciation for art then I highly recommend Exit Through The Gift Shop.As a director Banksy, remaining unidentified, didn't portray Thierry as one would expect. This documentary held my attention and is not predictable nor what i expected. I rate this movie a 9.
